Proximity to the airport was the big reason why we chose this hotel. And great the breakfast starts so early to allow you to eat before leaving. Had dinner as well which was very good.
This hotel offers a free drop-off shuttle service to the neighbouring Keflavík International Airport between 04:00 and 10:00. WiFi and private parking are also free.

Buffet breakfast (good selection) was available at 5:30 am as requested, at a cost of 2000 ISK ($21 CAD). Reception staff in morning advised me that another solo traveler had scheduled a taxi for 7:30 am; I was able to share a taxi which reduced the cost of getting to the airport to 2000 ISK ($20 CAD).
Located in Keflavík, 19 km from Blue Lagoon, ABC Hotel by Reykjavik Keflavik Airport provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking.

Perfect location if you need to catch a flight in early hours, the price is competitive comparing to other places around Keflavik. The double bed is a real comfy double bed instead of those fake ones which is combined by two single beds.
We are located in a walk-able downtown of Keflavík and only a mere 5-minute drive from KEF Keflavik International Airport. WiFI is available through out public space and guest rooms.

Nice location near Int. airport.
Wasn´t my first time here.
Situated in Keflavík, 20 km from Blue Lagoon, Courtyard by Marriott Reykjavik Keflavik Airport features accommodation with a fitness centre, free private parking, a shared lounge and a restaurant.
Great location 10 minutes from the Blue lagoon. We stayed here on our first night in Iceland going straight from the airport to the Blue lagoon then checked in.
Not a lot here but there’s a pretty church here
Tip: don’t buy supplies in the airport shop - we stocked up & it cost us a fortune. There’s a Netto in Grindavík

Grindavik is a small, beautiful fishing village close to the Geldingadalur volcano (but not too close) and the Blue Lagoon. It has many excellent hiking opportunities and great restaurants. Grindavik is surrounded by a beautiful natural landscape. Whale-watching, fishing, mountaineering, very friendly people, safe environment, you name it, Grindavik has it all!

Great location for Meradalir.
Great location for Meradalir. Fabulous fish and chips at Papas - Grindavik is a fishing town, so all fish is fresh that morning. Lovely walking around the town. Very peaceful. Great for exploring south coast and peninsula. Only 25 mins from Keflavik.

We stopped for one night during our Iceland tour to visit the Blue Lagoon and Fagradalsfjall, the volcano that erupted in 2021 and is still smoldering several months later. Grindavik is a working fishing village with a few local restaurants, grocery store and pharmacy, so is a really good spot to stay for a day when touring Iceland. It is not touristy though so don’t expect lots of shops selling the usual.

This is a dock terminal terrible views, bad aspect for tourists, cabin super smaill no microwave, no waste basket in bathroom, nothing to sweep with, place is creepy, huge caping yard nezt to the property that makes it seem dangerous. Lonely area! For this price you can get a top notch place.

Grindavik is a lovely town with a huge fisherman history.
Grindavik is a lovely town with a huge fisherman history. It's super close to the Blue lagoon and volcano so, there are many options for hiking or relaxing. There's a grill place with a super nice man who told me a little about the history and life of Grindavik's people and he also sells awesome hotdogs. Wish I could've stayed longer but a huge storm came so I had to run away :)
We were two couples who booked the 3 bed apartment. We loved that there was so much space for us to eat, sleep, relax and drink together. The place was really clean and having three bathrooms was just a bonus.
Grindavik is a small town but a great base for hiking. This apartment is located right next to an excellent restaurant and it’s only a 10 min walk to the supermarket too.
The biggest plus is that being on the edge of Grindavik down by the harbour means the sky is dark. So when the Northern Lights appeared, they were stunning
We were heading to the Blue Lagoon the next morning after our stay and this location in Grindavik was perfect, only 10 minutes away. It is a street over from the water and close to great restaurants too. The space is immaculate, brand new, beautifully decorated with gorgeous tile floors, counters and stovetop, a designer bathroom and amazing rain shower head, extremely comfortable bed that was sooo cozy, and all the amenities you could need.
The studio we got was perfect and the only place we stayed in over 6 nights that had a tub...which was much needed after a 14 mile hike to the volcano. It was super clean, the beds were comfortable, check in was easy and the entire hotel was quiet. The ONLY small complaint is that the pillows were very flat. I had to roll up a towel underneath it to get any sort of support.
Good place to stay for just a night. There is a restaurant very next to it (belongs to another hotel) so getting morning coffee or breakfast was easy. Other wise although a good place this property is located is sort of drab, industrial, Wearhouse looking area.
We wanted a reasonable and comfortable stay near Blue Lagoon. This did fit the bill perfectly.
it was absolutely glorious! Well presented, spacious, comfortable. Close to a supermarket, The Blue Lagoon and a number of restaurants. It was the perfect base for us to explore Reykjavík, the Golden Circle and the Blue Lagoon. A truly authentic Icelandic experience.
You will not be disappointed if you stay here! it is immaculate.
Exceptional hotel in a must-do Icelanding landmark. Staying at the hotel also grants a couple of free masks and a free drink at the public Blue Lagoon, which is always nice. They also have a Northern Light alarm call that you can sign up for where they call you if northern lights are active and visible at night
We did a 3 night trip around Iceland and this was our last hotel and the best. Perfect staff, helpful and friendly as soon as we talked through the door. Arranging shuttle to the blue lagoon and a 5am taxi for me with no fuss. Food with perfection and super comfy beds. Would highly recommend.
The space was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff communicated well and we didn't encounter any problems. It is also conveniently close to the Blue Lagoon and the airport, as well as the volcano that erupted in 2021, for those who are interested in that. And the price was great.
Dagmar and Hjalti are very responsive and friendly. It was convenient for us to stay at Grindavik guesthouse because we had an early flight in the morning. The place is quiet, very clean and comfortable. Lovely place to stay and very hosting landlords.
Breakfast was very good with very tasty food.
People were very friendly. Great location for us, we travelled to many places in Grindavik. The restaurant in the hotel was terrific, we ate dinners several times there. The fish on the menu was the best.
Hotel was very friendly and accommodating, including early check in and take away breakfast for a 4am flight. The facility is first class and beautiful, you get all the beauty of the Icelandic landscape from all angles. Staff are friendly and diverse!
We made our own breakfast. Grindavik is a functonal fishing village, not blessed with resturants a plenty but most interesting to visit, I would spend more time here to see the operations. Its also close to the Blue Lagoon 0 about 10 mins away.
Great location if you are planning to hit up the Blue Lagoon. We stayed here our first night in Iceland. We wanted to see the northern lights and got lucky. I recommend this if you have a car, if not, it may be harder getting out to Grindavik.
The atmosphere at the hotel was excellent, staff was extremely accommodating. I plan on visiting Iceland again I will will definitely be staying at Hotel Ranga, food was delicious and the owner was very personable, thank you.
I liked the location. Nice little town a little away from the main big city, close to many good hiking spots and near the blue lagoon. It has good restaurants nearby and the staff are very nice.
Great place to stay in Grindavík. Clean and very calm. Fridge and some coffee/tea available in the kitchen. Close to the airport, the Blue lagoon and the Litli Hrutur volcano in eruption.
The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and the accomodation was incredibly comfortable, nicer than in my own apartment. I would without a doubt stay again if I'm ever in Grindavík.
